The following links are for Irish Music groups and associations that we, the members of the Dallas Slow Sessions are either a part of, or have worked with. It is no means an exhaustive list, nor does the absence of someone from this list mean they are not good or qualified. It is simply the organizations we know and love.

Live Irish Music Venues

Gillespie’s Tavern at The Shire in Richardson-beginning this Saturday, May 28th from 3-6 p.m. and will be held on the fourth Saturday of each month thereafter from 3-6pm.

The Celt Irish Pub-Great place to hear live Irish music. Sessions will be  starting  on June 9th.  These sessions will be open to trad musicians of all levels (as well as singers and dancers).

J. Gilligan’s Bar and Grill in Arlington-Public sessions held on    Tuesday  nights at 7:00 pm.

Steve’s Wine Bar in Denton-Bi-Weekly Sessions on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 3-5pm.

D’Vine Wine inGranbury-Sessisons on the 3rd Saturdays from 6-9pm.

Trinity Hall–A long time supporter of Irish music in the Dallas area is permanently closed.

Dirty Job Brewing in Mansfield-Sessions on the 3rd Fridays from 5-7pm.

Hooligan’s Pub in Arlington-Meets the 1st Saturdays from 3-5pm. Located at 310 E. Abran St. #150, Arlington, TX.

Irish Festivals

   North Texas Irish Festival – A great festival of Irish music, dance, and culture, and the 2nd largest festival in the Dallas Metroplex.

   Austin Celtic Festival– Adding to Austin’s reputation for the Live Music Capital of the World, this festival is a great showcase of Irish and other Celtic music and dance.

Irish Music Retreats

   O’Flaherty Irish Music Retreat – Simply the best 3 day retreat for learning Irish Music that we have seen.

   O’Flaherty Irish Music Youth Camp – A one of a kind camp that provides instruction on Irish Music for kids 5-18.

Other

 North Texas School of Irish Music – Great school for teaching kids how to play in a group as well as providing private lesson teachers for kids and adults.

 Lower Valley Irish Slow Session – A great resource of recorded tunes at a moderate and slow pace.
